Mitali Nikore
 

Founder

Mitali Nikore is an economist and gender policy specialist. She is the founder of the youth-led research group Nikore Associates. She advises multilateral organisations such as ADB, UN Women and the World Bank as well as private sector consulting firms such as EY and PwC. She is a part of the Global Shapers New Delhi Hub (an initiative of the World Economic Forum). She is also an advisor to the Steering Committee of BRICS CCI Young Leaders. Focusing on infrastructure development, industries, MSMEs, economic corridors and gender mainstreaming, her work spans a wide range of sectors, both in South Asia and Africa, at the national and sub-national levels. She is also a widely published researcher and writer with The Times of India, World SME News, Indian Express, SheThePeople and EPC World. She has also been named one of the industry leaders to look out for in 2022

by Forbes magazine and has provided her expertise On-Air on multiple news segments on BBC News, NDTV, and India Ahead amongst others. Mitali holds a master's in economics from the London School of Economics, and a bachelor's in economics from the University of Delhi.

Mannat Sharma is a Research Manager at Nikore Associates. She is a post-graduate in Economics from the Centre for Economic Studies and Planning, Jawaharlal Nehru University. Prior to this, she pursued her graduation in Economics from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi. Issues pertaining to development intrigue her immensely and have motivated her to work in the field of gender and sustainable growth.

Gunjan Nagpal is a recent graduate in economics from University of Delhi. She is passionate about gender economics and development theories. She also has keen interest in policy making and academic writing. She plans to pursue Masters in Economics and see herself working in economic research in potential future.

Vanshika Sirohi

Research Associate

Vanshika is a Research Associate at Nikore Associates. She is currently pursuing her masters degree in Diplomacy, Law and Business (M.A. DLB) from Jindal School of International Affairs (JSIA), O.P. Jindal Global University. Prior to this, she pursued her graduation in Political Science from Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi. She is also the Centre Coordinator at Centre for Security Studies, JSIA.

Swastika Mukherjee

Research Associate

Swastika Mukherjee currently holds the position of Research Associate at Nikore Associates, following her internship as a research analyst at the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce. She holds a Master's degree in Development Economics from the University of Sussex (2022) and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from St. Xavier's University, Kolkata. Swastika's primary interests lie in labor market dynamics and gender economics. Her academic and professional background demonstrates her commitment to contributing meaningfully to these fields.

Ashruth Talwar

Advisor

Ashruth completed his Masters's degree in Economics from The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). Prior to this, he pursued an undergraduate degree in Economics from St. Stephen's College, New Delhi. He was awarded a Research Fellowship in his final year of under-graduation and undertook a study to examine the role of a financially included woman in her household's health outcomes. The findings of the study were presented to the Department of Economics at his college. Going forward, he is interested in exploring education and health-based issues and undertakes research in these fields to inform policy decisions.

Shivani Jain

Senior Advisor

Shivani is currently working as a Social Media Manager with India's oldest political party and holds a Masters degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. Her strong vision and capability to lead a cause, led her to be one of the Young Leaders for Obama Foundation’s Townhall (India) in 2017 and Youth Delegate, India-China Youth Dialogue, Embassy of Republic of China in 2018. She has worked for Ms. Vasundhara Raje, Chief Minister of Rajasthan and with FleishmanHillard and Zeno Group. Her vision is to work for the world peace and develops her own space for discussions on the same.

Vidhi Narang

Vidhi completed her post-graduate studies in Public Policy from NLSIU and undergraduate degree in Economics from NMIMS University, Mumbai. She is currently working with Primus Partners as the Senior Consultant. She was previously an Associate at PWC India. Vidhi has great experience working with NGOs in the field of gender sensitization and skill development.

Manvika is currently a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer with UNICEF, New Delhi, and holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from Shri Ram College of Commerce, New Delhi. She has prior experience with a UK-based general insurer as an actuarial consultant in using statistical models to evaluate reserve bookings. She also has experience as a behavioral economist focusing on solving management problems using behavioral economics. She wants to use economic principles and data analytics to lead research inquiries in the social and economic space.
