This individual state primer presents a three to four page profile for each of the Indian State and Union territories. To facilitate the reader, we have divided each State Primer into two sections: The first section provides data on each indicator across six thematic sections.  The year-wise comparison of women’s performance as compared to men in each indicator helps determine the success of the schemes undertaken by the government of each state. A brief analysis has been added for each chart, for a better understanding of the indicators.  The second section lists down and briefly explains successful schemes, policies and initiatives undertaken by the state to improve the state of gender equality in the respective state.
